Adding syncopation to this bold staghorn brioche pattern is an effective way to showcase the striking grace of the design. By shifting between brioche knit and brioche purl in the midst of each row, the result is a reversible wrap that showcases the colorful depth of the brioche stitch on both sides. This pattern was inspired by the beautiful palette created by Debbie Ogilby of Fisherman’s Rib yarns, which are available at https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/FishermansRib.
This pattern includes instructions for a fingering weight wrap, a DK weight cowl AND a worsted weight cowl.
The fingering weight version of Concurrent switches color dominance in the middle of the wrap. This feature delights the eye as it is drawn to the horizontal and vertical movement within the piece.
Syncopation occurs in the DK version of Concurrent three quarters of the way through the row. Splitting the second staghorn repeat allows for the narrow band of color to accentuate the bolder stripe of the primary cable detail.
For the worsted weight variation, the shift in color occurs in the middle of the cowl.

Errata:
Abbreviations for the Fingering and DK versions of the pattern neglected to mention the br4st inc. This stitch is used in the Row 1 MC and Row 1 CC in the Fingering version. It appears in Row 1 MC in the DK version. I demonstrate how to work the stitch on my YouTube channel here.
In the Fingering version, Row 8 MC starts with P3. This should be K3.
In the Worsted version, Row 3 MC is incorrect. It should read:
