This 18"x18" (46 cm x 46 cm) pillow is a delight to behold on both sides! On the one side - front, back, you decide - you'll find a cheerful array of three dimensional flowers. Arranged in a checkerboard pattern, the flowers are asking to be touched to suspend the disbelief that they truly are that perky! (They are.)

The flip side of the pillow - where were we? front? back? they're both so lovely! - is a riff on the Irish Chain quilting pattern. I purposefully paired the feminine floral with this more striking graphic to give a wonderful choice of which to feature in your room. I'm particularly fond of this side of the pillow because each of the little squares of color are different, showcasing the lovely range of hues compiled by the dyer of the wool. Each looks so pretty against the ivory backdrop.

The wool used to make this pillow is a delightful tweed made by Border Mill in England. It is a true tweed, which is to say, it shows saturated color beautifully, but may present as scratchy for some. I would find it perfectly acceptable to use the pillow as a backrest, but would be unlikely to opt to sleep with my face against it. Best to consider it a conversation point accent rather than implement for a deep sleep.

Pattern:
The graphical blocks were made using my crocheted pattern called Irish Chain. The flowers were crocheted following the Bulaklak pattern designed by Shelley Husband. You can find this unique design and many others in Shelley's incredible book, Granny Square Flair.

Materials:
Both sides of the pillow were crocheted using Border Mill Tweed yarn imported from England via Loop of London. The pillow insert is down, which has been encased in a linen shell.

Sizing:
18"x18" (46 cm x 46 cm)

Care:
To keep the pert shape of the pillow, all four sides have been closed. If you must clean the pillow, dry cleaning is your best bet given the pillow itself is down, the shell is linen and the exterior is wool.

The Fine Print (please read this!):  Great care has been taken to ensure the photos included on this listing reflect the hues of finished piece. However, please note that monitors can display colors differently. The piece was hand knit in a smoke and pet free environment. The pillow will be sent to you in a ziplock bag within a mailing box to protect the piece from the weather during transit. Given the extensive time taken to create, document and ship the piece, returns will not be accepted for this pillow.
