This “good ombré” is achieved by working with fingering weight yarn held double. In other words, you will be knitting two strands of fingering weight yarn simultaneously. The gradient effect comes from swapping contrast colors while keeping one main skein constant. The brim of the hat is 2x2 ribbing and the body of the hat is 3x1 ribbing, so the final product is very stretchy and comfortable. The pattern has two sizes – S/M and M/L. The smaller size is suitable for children and adults who may want a closer fit. The larger size will fit all adults. The hat is also reversible with sleek crown shaping on both sides.
And as a bonus? It's perfect for using up all those minis that we makers love to accumulate!
