This simple toque is elevated to a chic accessory by the addition of a band of beautiful embroidery. ”Anchor stitches” are first applied to the brim of the hat and then interlocking circles are added to create an eye-catching detail.

Notes on Yarn Selection
If you are going to incorporate embroidery into your hat, I encourage you to choose a yarn with a high twist, which will be resistant to the friction caused by the additional stitching. Also, I recommend a solid or semi-solid, as the embroidery may be lost in a variegated yarn.
